Send ‘em Up!

My dear friend and keyboardist/arranger for X-Alt! known in the blogs as “Warrior” (but by the rest of the world as Mark) got a bad diagnosis yesterday.

I’m really taken aback at just how many people in my life are battling cancer right now. I can’t even put my finger on the emotion I’m feeling about it. There is sadness, yet the need to put positive energy out there, and at the same time anger that with all of the technology and scientific breakthroughs we have had, we still do not have a cure.

The untrusting part of me feels like a cure has been found, but the pharmaceutical companies and political forces have held it back from being introduced. I just don’t see how we haven’t cured it yet.

Anyway, I would be most grateful if you would join me in sending up prayers and/or positive energy out into the universe for Warrior, my boss, Lintilla, the Stewman, and a blanket of prayer for all who are fighting this dreadful disease today.

  1. will do….. we are waiting on biopsy results for 3 folks here in Florida next week as well (my grandpa and 2 former co-workers at DCS, Aida and Mercy).

  2. My son has Crohn’s disease and isn’t doing well at all. His name is Dylan and he’s 16. I’ve done a lot of posts about him under the tag “crohn’s disease.” Sickness can make everything else seem so unimportant.

I am sending good vibes your way and would appreciate some myself if there’s enough to go around.

Good luck to you and your friends. Peace and health!
