Summer 2008 PSA #1

I announced their arrival last year, and I shall do the same today.

These @#$%&*! creatures are after my boobies, too, because the bites are all along my bra line.  Can you imagine what I looked like today in our board meeting…trying to be all discreet while scratching the living daylights out of my, ahem, bra line?  Only me…

I’m using Chigarid, and it’s helping some, thank goodness.

Upon my arrival at home tonight, before I go out to water my plants, I’m spraying with OFF.  Ain’t no chiggers gonna be having me for dinner any ‘mo!

    That is one thing I clearly don’t miss… those DARN CHIGGERS!!! I remember on year down there I had over 80 bites after one single night of sleeping in a tent in the backyard with my friends kids. The kids had it bad too… it was just plain ugly!!

    I feel for you Geege!! I hope the Chigarid is helping!!

    Old southern remedy, put clear nail polish on the bites. It smothers the little bastards and it works.

    Mom always warned us about chiggers in the tall grass and to stay away from it. Periodically I’d have bites along the tops of my socks.

    Were you in very tall grass?

    The Chigarid is definitely helping. Newscoma, it dries up like clear nail polish, but it has menthol in it, as well, which, I think, is what helps with the itching.

    Delmer, I have to turn on the water hose right by some tall shrubs, so I’ll be that’s where the little bastards are just waiting to jump on!

    Thank you for the link to the Chigarid site. I have been searching with in 400 miles of my town trying to find it and finally did on your site. Southwest Kansas is abundant with Chiggers and Chigarid sure does help with the itching. Thanks for the link.

    Chigarid’s website says that ordering has been suspended. No wonder I can’t find it in any of the usual pharmacys. What the heck is going on? Although I think clear nail polish works, I don’t think it works as well.
