I Met Jeff Fisher Tonight!

Yes, that’s Coach Jeff Fisher of the undefeated 10-0 Tennessee Titans, I’m talkin’ about!

I found out yesterday that there was a slight chance in the forecast that the Ultimate “Squee!!!” might be emitted from my vocal chords this evening.  I sent out an alert via Twitter that those residing in the Opry Mills area should put on their noise canceling headphones at the 7 o’clock hour should the sound barrier blow out, and all dogs were alerted that there would be high pitched squeals in the area.

Still, I wasn’t sure if it was really going to happen, so I didn’t want to get my hopes up too high.  However, as I’ve indicated here before, there are times when it seems I live a charmed life when it comes to these crazy, off-the-wall opportunities to meet our more well-known members of society, and tonight proved another one of those times!

When we arrived at the taping, our friend took a shot in the dark and asked one of the staff if they might happen to have a few extra seats that me, Amanda, and her BFF could possibly have to watch the show.

We ended up in the FRONT ROW CENTER!

So, of course, I jumped on Twitter to let everybody know that they might see me on TeeVee (locally) and to indicate my slight pleasure at the thought that I was going to be in very close proximity of Coach Fisher during the show.

I received some great advice from jane q. public:

That is always good advice in any situation!

The Coach didn’t arrive until 7:10pm, as he does a radio show first, so he always comes in at the second segment.   When he got to the set, I must say that the sight of The Stache took my breath away momentarily.

Being in the front row certainly had it’s advantages…

The Jeff Fisher Show 11-18-08

As always, it was a great show — even T-Rac showed up, much to the kids’ delight — and then at the end my moment of destiny arrived…the show was over and it was time for The Stache to exit.  He has a very large dude who accompanies him wherever he goes, along with some uniformed officers, but still, a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do, right?  So what did this girl do?  Well, she simply waited for that handsome hunk of a man to finish his business up on the stage and then she kept the massive crowd from pushing her out of the way, and then…

She batted her eyes at him and sweetly asked if he minded if she could have a quick picture with him!

Here it is…

Me & Coach Jeff Fisher

Such intensity in those eyes, isn’t there? That’s the face of a Super Bowl winning coach right there.

Squeeeeeeeee!!!!!!
